Click an artist name or photo anywhere in the app to open their page. It brings together biography, discography, and links in one place.
Layout
A large backdrop image (sourced from TheAudioDB) fills the top of the page. The artist’s profile photo and key details sit in the foreground.
Metadata
- Artist name and disambiguation text (e.g., “UK rock band”)
- Artist type: Solo Artist, Band, Orchestra, Choir, or Character
- Born/formed: birth or formation date, with location and current age for living artists
- Country of origin
- Genre and Style tags

Biography
A text biography sourced from TheAudioDB appears below the metadata. Longer biographies are collapsed by default with a Read more toggle.
Discography
Every release by this artist in your library is grouped by type:
- Albums
- EPs
- Singles
- Compilations
- Other (live recordings, soundtracks, remixes)
Filter checkboxes above the grid let you show or hide each release type. Each checkbox includes a count of matching releases.
Click any album cover to open its album detail page.
Appears On
A separate section shows compilations and collections that feature the artist but are not primarily their release.
Similar Artists
When data is available, a row of similar artists appears. Each card shows:
- Artist photo and name
- “In Library” badge if the artist exists in your collection
- An external link to ListenBrainz for artists not in your library
Admin Features
Admins can edit artist metadata and artwork through the edit button.
