Movie Detail Page

Click any movie poster in your library or search results to open its detail page. This is where you control playback, check metadata, and manage your watch status.

Layout

A backdrop image fills the top of the page, with the movie poster and metadata overlaid. Below that you’ll find the overview, cast and crew, and technical details about the media file.

Metadata

The header area shows:

  • Title and original title (if different)
  • Year, runtime, and content rating (e.g., PG-13, R)
  • Community rating from TMDB
  • Genres as clickable tags
  • Plot overview

Actions

A row of buttons below the metadata gives you quick access to:

ButtonWhat it does
PlayStart playback from the beginning, or resume if you stopped partway through
CheckmarkToggle watched/unwatched status
BookmarkAdd to or remove from your Watchlist
HeartAdd to or remove from your Favorites

If you have partially watched the movie, a resume prompt appears showing your progress.

Trailer

When a trailer is available, a YouTube embed or local video player appears below the overview. Trailers come from TMDB metadata or from local trailer files stored alongside the movie.

Cast & Crew

The Cast section shows actors with their profile photos and character names. When an actor plays multiple roles, those are combined into a single entry.

The Crew section lists directors, writers, and producers.

Click any person to visit their profile page, which shows their full filmography across your library.

Media File Info

A technical details section displays information about the actual file on disk:

  • Video: codec (H.264, HEVC, AV1), resolution, bitrate, frame rate, and HDR format
  • Audio: each audio track with its language, codec, channel layout (Stereo, 5.1, 7.1), and bitrate
  • Subtitles: each subtitle track with its language
  • File: container format and file size

Links to the movie on TMDB and IMDb appear in the metadata area and open in a new tab.

Admin Features

If you are signed in as an admin and the movie has been flagged for metadata review, a banner appears at the top explaining why. From there you can:

  • Rematch: search TMDB for a better match and reassign metadata
  • Confirm: accept the current match and clear the review flag
  • Edit: open the movie editor to adjust metadata, artwork, and locked fields
