Music Album Page
Open an album from an artist’s discography, a search result, or the music library. The album page shows cover art, a full track listing, and playback controls.
Layout
The artist’s backdrop image fills the top of the page (or a blurred version of the album cover when no artist backdrop is available). The album cover art sits on the left with metadata alongside it.
Metadata
- Album title
- Artist name, linked to the artist page
- Year of release
- Track count and total duration (e.g., “12 tracks, 1 hr 3 min”)
- Record label (when available)
- Genre and Style tags
- Genre tags from MusicBrainz (up to 5)
Actions

Pending Metadata
Norri normally matches each album and fetches online details during import, according to your library’s metadata settings. If a lookup cannot finish, a message below the album’s details tells you that online metadata is pending. Its imported tracks remain playable while Norri retries automatically.
Norri completes online details and artwork automatically. If a provider is temporarily unavailable, pending work is remembered across server restarts and retried when the provider is ready. You do not need to delete or re-import the album. Admins can check Music Metadata and Artwork under Settings → Scheduled Tasks → Background Tasks. Libraries using NFO only (offline) do not request online metadata or artwork.
Description
When a description is available, it appears below the metadata. Longer descriptions have a Read more toggle.
Track Listing
The track list shows every track on the album with:
- Track number and title
- Duration
- Play button to start that specific track
- Heart button to favorite individual tracks
The currently playing track is highlighted.
More by This Artist
A row at the bottom shows other releases by the same artist in your library. Click any cover to jump to that album’s page, or use the See all link to visit the full artist page.
Admin Features
Admins can edit album metadata, tags, and cover artwork through the edit button.
Open the cover artwork picker to browse online alternatives or upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB. If the source has no alternatives, the picker shows an empty result and you can still upload your own cover. A failed upload leaves the saved artwork in place; correct the image and retry.
