AI and Your Media

Norri does not send your library to an external AI service. AI search, recommendations, and automatic tagging are not available in the current beta.

Online metadata

Looking up movie details or album artwork is separate from AI processing. When online metadata is enabled, Norri contacts metadata providers with titles, search terms, or media identifiers. See Privacy for the services and information involved.

Use a library’s NFO only (offline) mode if you want it to use local metadata without online lookups. Metadata Connections explains how to set this up.

Development and future features

We use AI tools to help develop Norri, including coding, review, and documentation. That development process does not give those tools access to your installed server or media library.

Local AI features are ideas under consideration, described in Vision. They are not release commitments. Any available feature will need clear information about its requirements and data use.
