Rating Estimation
Norri shows the content rating for the country selected in each library. When that country’s rating is missing, it can display an estimate based on available ratings from other countries.
Choose a rating country
Open the library’s settings and choose Rating Country. Show Estimated Ratings controls whether Norri can fill gaps with an estimate. Turn it off if you only want ratings supplied for your chosen country.
Recognize an estimate
| Display | Meaning |
|---|---|
15 | A rating supplied for your chosen country |
12A* | An estimated rating; the asterisk identifies the estimate |
Norri first looks for a rating from your selected country. If there is none and estimates are enabled, it compares the available ratings using broad age bands and maps the middle band to your country’s system. When two bands straddle the middle, it uses the higher one.
If there is not enough recognized rating data, no rating is shown. Norri does not display another country’s rating as a fallback.
Understand the limits
Rating information comes from TMDB and may be incomplete or inaccurate. An estimated rating is Norri’s approximation, not an official classification. Countries assess content differently, so use your judgment when choosing what to watch.
Supported countries are Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
